1. Eligibility & Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Gratus Accounting only for lawful business accounting purposes. You must not:

Use the Service for fraudulent, illegal, or misleading financial activities.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems.
Upload malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to disrupt the Service.

You retain full ownership of all financial data, records, and content you enter into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and integrity of the financial data you input. Gratus Accounting is a tool — it does not constitute professional accounting, tax, or legal advice.

4. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

Scheduled maintenance and updates.
Hosting provider outages or technical failures.
Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime in advance.

5. Intellectual Property

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
